Welcome to the Calgary POWE Chapter Director Page

As I begin my tenure as your proud, new Calgary Chapter Director, I find myself excited by the possibilities that lay ahead for all of us! It truly is a pleasure and my passion to be linked with such a POWErful group of like-minded women!

I am a proud native Calgarian, born, raised, and educated in this fine city. I am happily married to Dale, with three sons ages 9 through 15. My employment experiences range from working as a legal assistant, to managing retail clothing stores, to successfully running my own direct sales women's clothing businesses, currently with Optionelle/EVEology. Over the past decade and presently, I am privileged to be a consistent award winning image consultant, as well, am managing, mentoring, training and motivating teams of women to success in their business. Consistently running a successful business for ten years has helped me build incredible business relationships and amazing clientele! My belief in leading by example has consistently placed me in the top 10 Canada wide for my personal sales and recruiting. I have also been fortunate to be extensively involved in training of new associates through workshops, training courses and motivational seminars that I have directed.

Public speaking is a fear for many but something I love to do! My parents, who I owe a debt of gratitude to, enrolled me in the art of public speaking very early in grade school and I continued with it through into adulthood, including a time with Optimists International. I love to see women excel through and conquer this very natural fear; seeing that, with the encouragement of the nurturing group of POWE women – they too can do it and feel the POWEr.

After attending my first POWE meeting in November 2009, I was hooked and became excited by the possibilities that this organization could hold for my business, for the networking opportunities that it could foster and the vast number of women who I could assist with their business by introducing them to POWE! I truly believe in the philosophy behind POWE and the potential it has to make a difference in our professional and personal lives.

Dream big and it will come – this is my vision! Our members are the driving force behind the success of this organization and together with my passion for POWE and the united force of this dynamic Calgary group, our Chapter will be growing leaps and bounds in 2010! Our members benefit from being in at this ground level of growth and we are looking for more like-minded business women to join us!

Being a firm believer in the Law of Positive Attraction, I know that when you attend one of our meetings in Calgary, you will come away a renewed enthusiasm for your business and some solid contacts to move it forward.
