A Word From Our Founder

Tina Dezsi is an award winning entrepreneur, having been named her areas Business Person of the Year 2008 as well as winning the Phenomanal Woman 2008. She is a writer and author of the Canadian Best Selling book The Power of Women United! She is an entrepreneur, speaker, coach, facilitator and a visionary with an extraordinary ability to see opportunities and others abilities for success. Tina’s solid background in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Adult Education and 30 years of marketing and sales offers others a great resource for information. She offered her community a place to get health and wellness information while she had a radio show for 2 years on the local radio station in Durham. Producing 8 Power of Women Conferences that celebrates International Women’s Day is a true labour of love which has added to her long list of achievements.

Tina’s roots are long established in Durham Region with her grandfather and father both retiring from General Motors. Coming from a family with strong business values she learned from the early age of 12 the value of honest work as she helped out in family businesses.

She is the President of T&E HealthPros Inc. which she founded along with her mother Ellie Tureck in 2003; a founder and CEO of Power of Women Exchange (POWE) and Business Coach & Mentor teaching her Marketing-Business Planning Program to those who are ready to take control and put their plan into place for success. She is the creator and facilitator of a number of successful workshops geared towards building business and taking control of your own future. Tina's creativity extends beyond her business and marketing talents and in 2007 she launched yet another venture called Jewelry by T, which Tina designs and handcrafts her own successful line of Couture Jewelry.

Working along side her mother, they have built a strong business in the very volatile home healthcare industry that now employs approximately 75 women. Honing her skills in strategic planning has added to the strong list of attributes that has propelled her to success in her business ventures. Her work with other community services provides clients a combined approach to healthcare.

She believes that while growing a company there is opportunity to give something back. Tina strongly feels there is stability and security in numbers and with the assistance of everyone we can help those that need. Being blessed to have a grandmother in Oshawa that is 95 she knows from experience the importance of caring for our seniors and ensuring future generations will experience the same level of care.

Tina is known for her ability to see the vision of the big picture and being able to take the concept to finished product with great results. Leading community initiatives to raise funds for different charities, she feels strongly that there is strength in numbers and assisting people in vulnerable situations is our obligation in order to create the kind of place we desire to live in for ourselves and others.

Tina has a soft spot in her heart for new business start ups because of her own experience and struggles with starting her companies. She believes in supporting new business owners to feed the passion that will drive them to success. Building strong programs to support, mentor and sustain new businesses is the key to economic growth and job development.
Her passion for pulling together a plan of action and using the team approach to build it is what has led her to being known as the ideas person that shares concepts freely so others can take their ideas to fruition.

Tina believes that with the right "information, ammunition & fuel” we can all achieve the success we desire!

Power Role

Tina's role with the Power of Women Exchange is Inspiration, Leadership, Marketing and Sales. This includes New Business Development, Event Planning & Production, Media Relations, Advertising and Promotion. Tina is in the lead when it comes to POWEs Strategic Planning to take POWE to new heights in providing women with the tools necessary to grow their businesses in any economy.

Tina brings ideas to the table that will help the entrepreneur develop and grow with the opportunity to attend new and innovative events to network, educational events to learn how to grow, fundraising events for numerous initiatives that enables members to give back to others. This includes developing existing Chapter Directors and adding new chapters to assist the membership in promoting their businesses.

Women are in the drivers seat today leading the economy and it is only those that understand this that will succeed. Tina believes in the POWEr of women individually, however, the force is stronger when women UNITE, a collective voice is more POWErful then one alone offering real change and opportunity for our economy to grow. The Power of Women united is a force to be reckoned with. By working together and using each others businesses, by supporting and referring each other to our contacts, by participating in meetings and other events, together this will create a unity amongst members to propel them to success like nothing else can!

Tina feels very strongly and is determined to teach other women these simple yet POWErful rules of engagement to help them understand they are in control of their vision becoming a reality and doing business a better way, The POWE WAY!
